Job overview

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a number a Band 5 Nurse to join our Childrens Acute inpatient Unit at the Wrexham Maelor Hospital.

The Paediatric ward has 21 inpatient beds , 3 day case beds with a HDU and a 6 bedded assessment unit. We pride ourselves on being a friendly team working to provide high standard family centred care for our patients and families.

As a Band 5 registered nurse, you will carry out clinical practice ensuring high quality and current evidence-based nursing assessment, care planning, implementation, interventions and evaluations for patients is provided from admission through to discharge. Working as partners in care at all times with the parents and families to provide family centred care.

Main duties of the job

The post holder is responsible for the assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of evidenced-based nursing care, working collaboratively and cooperatively with others to meet the needs of patients and their families. 

Assist in the management and organisation of their clinical area and participating in the education, development and supervision of other staff members.

The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.
