Pharmacy Assistant - Band 2 - based at the Pharmacy Department, Wrexham Maelor Hospital
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a pharmacy assistant to work within the busy pharmacy department. Previous experience of working within a store keeping environment, along with customer service experience, dealing with patients and public, would be advantageous but not essential, as training will be provided.
The successful candidate will be IT literate and required to undertake NVQ2 in Pharmacy Services, to be completed within 1 year.
Main duties of the job
Duties will include:
- Dispensing medication/prescriptions
- Receiving deliveries
- Supply of medication to wards / departments
- Scanning / filing prescriptions
- Reception
- General housekeeping
The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.
