The Informatics Department has an opportunity for a Band 3 Switchboard Team Leader.

Support the Switchboard Services Supervisor in the day to day operational delivery of BCU switchboard services ensuring a comprehensive, high quality switchboard service is maintained, 24 hours a day 7 days a week.

Main duties of the job

To be responsible for the day to day supervision of switchboard operators/call handlers ensuring their continued personal and professional development and work completion, as appropriate.
The post-holder will assist with the training, provide assistance and guidance to new and existing staff on the Switchboard Operator System and other equipment on a daily basis.

Required to use own initiative in the planning and prioritising of own workload to ensure that deadlines are met. Seeks advice and guidance from line manager if needed. Maintains good channels of communication to ensure line manager is kept aware of issues and concerns.
