Join our forward-thinking Digital Department and become part of the Digital Training Team, a group dedicated to equipping staff with the digital skills needed to deliver outstanding care. The team plays a crucial role in supporting colleagues across the organisation, offering a comprehensive range of digital training and fostering a culture of innovation and continuous learning.

As a Digital Trainer, you’ll help empower staff to make the most of digital systems and tools, contributing to the department’s mission of driving digital transformation in healthcare. This hybrid role offers flexibility, with most training delivered remotely and up to two days per week based at Sirona HQ or other sites across the BNSSG estate. Main duties of the job

  • Supporting the Digital Training Manager in the development and delivery of flexible and inclusive training, ensuring that users receive the necessary training to enable them to have the relevant IT skills for their roles.
  • Led, develop and maintain professional training packages including training materials, training records and evaluation and assessment tools.
  • Maintain an up-to-date record of training and support delivered.
  • Responsibility for delivery of Digital training courses, including production, distribution and maintenance of appropriate course materials, preparation of training facilities, evaluation of 
    feedback from training courses.
  • Identify and escalate when learners do not have the skills required to use Digital systems effectively and offer appropriate learning and support opportunities.
  • Management of our Digital Training pages on Sirona Connect intranet (hosted on SharePoint).
  • Configuration and maintenance of training environments.
  • Participation in systems testing and co-ordination with configuration staff.
  • Work closely with the other Digital Departments and Sirona’s Clinical/Corporate Services in delivering the aims of their Projects from a Digital Training perspective.

Skills, Experience and Knowledge Required

Essential criteria
  • Significant experience of delivering IT/Digital training and support in a classroom environment.
  • Experience of delivering IT/Digital training remotely via Webex/Microsoft Teams type applications.
  • Experience of training users on the use of mobile devices.
  • Excellent organisational and planning skills to develop lesson plans and schedules.
  • Strong written communication skills to support guidance document creation and record keeping.
  • Ability to train and support users either in person, over the telephone or via Microsoft Teams.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal and organisational skills.
  • Positive motivator and facilitator of change.
  • Flexible approach to workload and ability to prioritise workload.
  • Able to build and maintain relationships with a wide range of people.
Desirable criteria
  • Knowledge of implementing new processes/systems.
  • Experience of testing systems in a similar healthcare setting and ensuring defects are resolved.
  • Experience of training end users in the use of Electronic Patient Record (EPR) or other Digital Record Systems.
  • Able to demonstrate creativity in utilising different communication methods to engage stakeholders.
  • Development or configuration of an e-learning platform.
  • Experience in identifying and delivering commercial opportunities for training provision.
  • Experience of configuring training environments in a similar health care setting.

  • Intermediate Microsoft Excel and Word skills.
  • Valid driving license and own transport.
