Job overview
This is a fantastic opportunity to step into a senior specialist role within Sirona care & health’s Emergency Preparedness, Resilience and Response (EPRR) Team.
As a key member of the team, you’ll provide expert leadership in emergency planning and organisational resilience, playing a vital role in ensuring Sirona is prepared to respond effectively to any incident. Acting as Deputy to the Head of EPRR, you’ll work under delegated authority to support strategic decision-making and drive forward our preparedness agenda.
You’ll collaborate closely with senior leaders, operational teams, and system partners, helping to strengthen our response capabilities, safeguard patient care, and ensure we meet all statutory and contractual EPRR requirements. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in complex environments, is confident influencing at a senior level, and is motivated by making a real difference when it matters most.
The role is typically Monday to Friday, 9–5, with an expectation of office-based working. There is also a requirement to support organisational incident response on a best endeavours basis outside of normal hours. Some flexibility in working patterns may be considered for the successful candidate.
Main duties of the job
You’ll support the development, implementation and ongoing assurance of EPRR arrangements across the organisation, ensuring we are ready to respond effectively to a wide range of incidents. Acting as Deputy to the Head of EPRR, you’ll provide leadership and continuity when required, helping to maintain momentum and direction across the function.
Your work will span advising services on robust business continuity planning, supporting incident management and response, and designing and delivering engaging training and exercises that build confidence and capability across teams. You’ll also play a crucial role in evidencing compliance with NHS England’s EPRR Core Standards, ensuring Sirona continues to meet its statutory responsibilities.
This is a role that requires sound professional judgement, strong communication skills, and the ability to build effective working relationships across clinical, corporate and system partners. You’ll be comfortable navigating complexity, influencing at all levels, and working collaboratively to protect services and patient care.
