Job overview

Are you a Senior Programme Leader with experience delivering complex, system-wide transformation? This is an opportunity to play a central role in shaping and delivering the Children’s Services Neurodiversity Transformation Programme.

The Neurodiversity Support Team is a multi-disciplinary clinical service working in partnership with education settings to deliver high-quality Neurodiversity Profiling. The team provides expert guidance, consultation and quality assurance to ensure profiles are consistent, robust and meaningful for children, young people and families.

As part of a wider system transformation, the service is leading the rollout of Neurodiversity Profiling across Bristol, North Somerset and South Gloucestershire (BNSSG). Through training, consultation and ongoing support, the team works alongside schools to build confidence and capability in understanding and responding to the needs of neurodivergent children and young people.

With a strong emphasis on early intervention, the service supports a shift toward a needs-led model, ensuring provision is shaped around individual strengths and challenges rather than diagnostic labels.

Within this context, the Senior Programme Manager will provide strategic programme leadership, ensuring delivery aligns with the programme’s vision, objectives and expected outcomes.

Main duties of the job

You will be responsible for providing professional programme management expertise to the Children’s Services Neurodiversity Transformation Programme to ensure that the programme delivers in line with expectations.

You will be responsible for:  managing the Children’s Services Neurodiversity Transformation Programme; managing all aspects of governance; maintaining and managing the Programme Risk Register; maintaining  the Programme library; supporting the programme groups to be effective in discharging their responsibilities and ensuring that appropriate Public and Patient Engagement and Consultation is undertaken.

You will contribute complex project management expert knowledge and experience in guiding others through the challenges of service transformation projects with complex stakeholder management.

Please note that this role is a 3-year fixed-term contract due to funding and there will be consideration for secondments for this role. The banding is awaiting review/full confirmation.
