Job overview
Working as part of the team the post holder will be required to provide an efficient and effective administration service to the team, supporting the delivery of a high quality service to patients and staff.
Main duties of the job
Applications are invited for the position of a Band 3 Team Secretary within the Prescribed Medication Support Service & Primary Care Mental Health Counselling Service.
The post holder will provide comprehensive secretarial support to the Mental Health Team.
It is essential that the applicant holds Secretarial Qualifications, along with previous secretarial experience, excellent computer skills including Microsoft Office and a good telephone manner. A flexible approach to work is needed to meet the demands of the service.
The post holder will possess excellent time management skills, be well organised and have the ability to prioritise workload demands to meet strict deadlines, whilst producing work to the highest standards.
The post holder will also have the ability to work both independently and as part of a team, using discretion, judgement and initiative. Excellent written and verbal communication skills are essential together with a keen eye for detail, with the ability to process and generate urgent and routine correspondence.
Candidates must be able to maintain patient confidentiality and ensure a high standard of customer care at all times.
The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.

Essential criteria
- Good standard of education – GCSE Maths & English at Grade C or above, or equivalent
- NVQ Business Administration Level 3 or equivalent knowledge & experience, or willing to work towards
- RSA /OCR Level 2 or equivalent experience
- IT related qualification or equivalent experience

- Ability to deal with sensitive information
