We also provide some specialist services that are commissioned regionally, such as our medium secure services; and nationally, such as the Cassel Hospital for people with complex and severe personality disorder and our high secure services at Broadmoor Hospital.

Job overview

An opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic and highly motivated individual to join the Clinical Support Services Team, based at Heart of Hounslow Centre for Health, Hounslow.

 

We are seeking to appoint a dynamic candidate to work within our fast-paced service.

 

The Clinical Support Services Teams provide a daily service from 7am to 8pm, seven days a week and this can include weekends and bank holidays. This role is to support the team to deliver an excellent service to members of the public, support Adult and Children’s Clinical Services and other external organisations based in The Heart of Hounslow.

 

The successful applicant must be flexible, adaptable, and have a willingness to embrace change as and when required. The ability to use initiative when dealing with unexpected situations is also an advantage.

 

A full Induction and training will be provided on commencement.

 

Please note that this post is subject to a three-month probationary period. If you currently hold a contract of employment with West London NHS Trust, this will not apply.

Main duties of the job

·       Applicants should be able to demonstrate evidence of their organisational skills.

·       They must be a committed team player with the ability to prioritise their own workload.

·       Applicants should be able to work well under pressure.

·       Excellent interpersonal and communication skills are key in the role as it requires a high level of face-to-face and telephone communication.

·       A high level of empathy and understanding is beneficial within this role.

·       Good IT skills are essential as you will be working with outlook, word, excel and other internal systems and databases.

·       Applicants should be aware that this will also be a very physical role due to the caretaker and porter side of the position.

         Applicants will participate in the ongoing development of the service, its processes, scope of deployment, roles and its people.

         You will be required to contribute to a rota to ensure that the service is covered 11 hours per day; five days per week.

Essential criteria
  • Educated to GCSE level or equivalent
  • Good general education, educated to NVQ 2 level or equivalent
