To provide the required support for the maintenance of mandatory national clinical audit, observation of NICE compliance and local audit for BLISS and Baby friendly initiatives within the neonatal unit to facilitate ongoing standards and improvement in quality of care.

The post holder will play a key role in ensuring that current systems and process within the Paediatric team work effectively and efficiently by providing the support required for the timely completion of Clinical Audit and Compliance work including NNAP submission and support for the wider Paediatric Team
- Be responsible for ensuring that the Paediatric team are able to submit the required audits in a timely manner
- Work alongside the governance team to ensure learnings are shared to the wider team.
- Production of letters and bulletins, ensuring they are accurate and professional and in line with corporate style.
Support the distribution of patient questionnaires and surveys, Audit leaflets, etc
The Clinical Audit Administrator will require good communication skills and will be expected to communicate with:
• Members of the wider Quality Governance Team
• Medical Records Staff
• Medical Secretaries
• Clinicians and other members of staff within the Trust.
• SCBU team and Paediatric colleagues
• On occasions with patients and families

Been a part of a clinical audit/effectiveness team and had experience in collecting data to a proforma.
Be proficient in Microsoft packages – Word, PowerPoint, Publisher and outlook and have advanced Excel skills for analysis and pictorial representation of Audi data.
Be an efficient user of the Trust’s clinical and patient administrative systems. Train other members of the team as required on the use of specialist systems such as Datix, Badgernet, BookWise and ESR.
The Clinical Audit Administrator will require good communication skills and will be expected to communicate with:

Support the registration, database maintenance, deadline monitoring, result chasing and certificate issues of the local audits under the supervision of the Divisional Facilitator. Maintain local audit folders in the shared drive.
Support the Trust participation in NCEPOD queries, national audits, surveys and organisational audits.
Provide all administrative support to ensure the delivery of CQUIN objectives.
Provide all necessary administrative support for the smooth running of Clinical Audit and effectiveness activities of the Trust. Escalate any issues to the Clinical Lead and SCBU Manager at the time of occurrence support other activities within the department as required and as directed by departmental manager
Provide administrative support to the Clinical audit facilitators in all the local and national audit and NICE processes, like sending reminders, producing certificates, collecting forms from clinical teams, etc

Support the NICE process through the dissemination of newly published NICE guidance, chasing assurance from clinicians, collating responses and updating the spreadsheet. Escalate any challenges or issues to the Clinical Audit and Effectiveness Manager. Maintain the NICE folders in the shared drive.
Provide administrative support for production of documents, training material and presentations.
Identify personal developmental areas and seek appropriate trainings.
Complete all the required Statutory and Mandatory trainings within deadlines.

- NVQ 4 or equivalent standard of education and experience
- Knowledge of the full range of secretarial procedures; knowledge of software programmes; understanding of medical terms.
