Please be advised that there is a temporary top up for Bands 2 and 3 to reflect the incorporation of the top up to the living wage of £12.60 per hour - £24,638 per annum.

Job overview
The overall purpose of the job is to work as part of a team and be committed to take part in providing the best quality catering service to patients and staff within the Trust.
To share learned best practise with others in developing catering services as changes are made over time to allow the department and individuals to react to changing need.
The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.
Main duties of the job
Cleaning all equipment, surfaces as required.
Emptying rubbish in the prescribed manner.
Storage of goods into the appropriate areas as required.
The use of floor scrubbing equipment as part of cleaning regimes.
Loading of meal trollies.
Distribution of items to wards as required.
Keeping of simple records as required.
Keeping of simple and more complex records as required.
Taking and recording food temperatures as required.
Reporting defective equipment.
Be responsible for lock up duties of the catering area as required
Unloading meal trolleys and separation of crockery.
Stripping plates of waste food.
Stacking and loading of dirty crockery.
Un-loading clean crockery and storing.
Operation of the dishwasher.
Cleaning of the dishwasher after use.
Cleaning the equipment and surfaces within the dish wash area or associated with the dish washing function.
Changing chemicals that are used on the dish wash machines.
Recording dish wash temperatures as required.
Use of the waste disposal.
Washing of pots and pans by hand in sinks.
Use of the pan washer or dishwasher for final cleaning only.
Cleaning of the equipment and surfaces in the area.
Storing clean pots and pans in the correct location.
The set up and clean down of the main servery.
Use of the cash register in the dining room for limited periods.
Use of the cash register and following all related procedures in the dining room
