An exciting new vacancy has arisen within the North Wales Audiology Service for a registered clinical scientist to assist in the provision of a high quality adult and paediatric Audiology service to the population of North Wales served by BCUHB. This mixed post will involve three days with the adult team and two days with the paediatric team. The post holder will perform duties within the  Audiology service as described in the job description. Depending on skills and service need, there may be a focus on diagnostic audiology, advanced rehabilitation, learning disability/dementia or tinnitus. Paediatric experience is essential; training will be provided in other specialist areas as required.

There will be a responsibility to train and supervise other clinical staff and the successful applicant will also line manage junior staff.

The post will be based at Glan Clwyd Hospital but there will be a requirement to travel to other peripheral sites across North Wales. This is an ideal opportunity to develop your clinical, research and service development skills in a supportive and progressive environment.

The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post.

Main duties of the job

 This is an ideal opportunity to further develop clinical and service development skills in a supportive and progressive environment.  There will be responsibility to train and supervise other clinical staff where appropriate.  The Audiology team consists of Clinical Scientists, Audiologists, Associate and Assistant Audiologists. This team is committed to the development and delivery of high quality patient centered services.

The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.
