Job overview
Sirona care & health are seeking a highly motivated individual to manage our Hydrotherapy pool facility and team. You will work with the Specialist Physiotherapist who provides the clinical leadership, the business management team, NHS Property Services and private contactors, as well as line managing the therapy assistant practitioners. You will be responsible for the daily safe operation of the pool, ensuring that running costs are covered by maximising income opportunities and developing Sirona as a provider of choice for patients to access for their ongoing therapeutic needs.
Main duties of the job
- Day to day operational management of the Hydrotherapy Pool, ensuring a professional, safe and high-quality environment
- Main point of contact for the hydrotherapy service providing a courteous service to a variety of professionals and people with a wide variety of health and communication needs.
- Liaise with other teams and services to maximise effective and efficient use of the pool.
- Implement and oversee income generation and quality improvement initiatives.
- Effective marketing and promotion of the service
- Line management of the pool staff
- Monitoring of contracts and ensuring health and safety compliance in relation to the pool, the pool environment and building.
- Ensuring the booking system and electronic records are maintained.

Essential criteria
- Educated to diploma level 3 or equivalent level qualification (12-18 month study)
- Significant practical demonstrable experience in a wide range of relevant administrative procedures and computer software
Desirable criteria
- Pool Plant training qualification such as Hydrotherapy pool technical operator
Experience
Essential criteria
- Experience of working in a role where knowledge of health and safety is critical
- Experience of networking and communicating with a wide variety of people
- Experience of working in a health/social care or service-oriented organisation
- Experience organising diaries and managing time
- Able to motivate, lead, support and develop others
- Experience in service development, income generation or marketing
Desirable criteria
- Experience in the supervision of staff
- Knowledge of safe manual handling techniques
