A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a Band 7 Dietitian to take on a clinical specialist position in the Level 3 Adult Weight Management Service, which functions across Betsi Cadwaladr University Health Board (BCUHB). The service aligns to the Welsh Government Obesity Pathway, and offers evidence based opportunities for people in North Wales who wish to lose weight.
You will work as an experienced autonomous practitioner, integrated within the Multidisciplinary Weight Management team, to provide professional dietetic expertise and intervention within the weight management service. You will act as a resource within the department and Health Board, providing specialist information and advice regarding adults living with obesity.
You will provide supervision, specialist advice and training to more junior members of the dietetic staff, other health professionals as appropriate and students.
Main duties of the job
The Dietitian will be responsible for supporting the development, implementation, delivery and evaluation of best practice for pathway priorities, in relation to the Level 3 Service across the Health Board as a whole. You will work under the direction and supervision of the Service Lead, and as an integral member of, and in partnership with multi-agency community teams.
In addition to your clinical role, you will provide operational support to, and be supported by a wider multi professional team, working across the Health Board.
You will also remain a key member of the dietetic team, joining an enthusiastic and friendly team of over 80 dietitians delivering services in acute and primary care, and public health. We deliver clinical placements for students, and have secretarial and assistant support.
