Job overview
The Specialist Community Neurology Service (including Speech and Language Therapists) and Parkinson's Teams are looking for a Senior Administrator to join our welcoming team.
We currently have a administration team made of up 4 part time x Band 3 team members, 1 x part time Band 4 (this role) and 1 full time x business support Band 5 that work across the services.
This is a perfect role for administrators looking to take the next step in their career. The role incorporates both line management and service development opportunities as well as supporting with the day to day running of the teams.

Main duties of the job
- Line management of a team of Band 3 administrators working across both Neurology and Parkinson's services.
- Supporting operational functions of the day for clinicians including rosters and diary management.
- Assisting business support in their role of data quality monitoring and improvement.
- Supporting the day to day running of the services including responding to calls, queries and requests from both service users and staff members.
- Taking minutes and supporting the organisation of team meetings
- Keeping SOPs and processes up to date .

Essential criteria
- Numeracy and Literacy level 2 qualification or equivalent demonstratable experience.
- Willingness to undertake additional training/study relevant to the role
- Evidence of undertaking personal/professional development
Desirable criteria
- NVQ Business Administration level 3
Skills, Knowledge & Experience
Essential criteria
- Experience in a range of administrative tasks/processes relevant to this role
- Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, in multiple situations
- Strong level of IT skills including Microsoft Office
- Knowledge of supervising staff and line management
- Experience of problem solving
Desirable criteria
- EMIS experience
- Optima roster experience or equivalent
- Working with a range of professionals in health or social care
