Job overview
To provide comprehensive and efficient supervision of the Support Services within Primary care Services Directorate.
To ensure the service is sufficiently staffed during the operating hours from 8.00am - 6.30pm Monday to Friday.
The post holder will be required to demonstrate a significant level of initiative and manage their own workload and taking decisions and actions, some of which will be without the supervision of the Branch Manager or Service Delivery Manager.
Main duties of the job
To ensure administrative staff are kept up to date with changes and developments in the group.
To liaise with the Branch manager and or Service Deliver Manager on a daily basis and report back any required service changes and any areas of concern.
To work closely with other team leaders to ensure consistency of service within Primary care Network.
To provide training and support to staff in the use of patient administraion.
Support staff in resolution in ICT issues.

Detailed job description and main responsibilities
To complete appraisals and personal development plan.
To process, approve and record staff annual leave requests.
To monitor staff compliance against mandatory training requirements.
Maintain personal and professional development to meet the changing demands of the job, participate in appropriate training activities and support staff development and training.
To assist recruitment, selection and appointment of administrative staff
Develop and promote a positive culture within the directorate to enable continuous quality and service improvement.
