Job overview

University Hospitals Bristol and Weston NHS Foundation Trust (working in partnership with North Bristol NHS Trust) is the designated Principal Treatment Centre (PTC) for Teenagers and Young Adults (TYA) with cancer in the south west of England. The PTC oversees the delivery of specialist malignant haematology and oncology care along with the provision of emotional, social and practical support to young people diagnosed with cancer between 16 and 24 years.

The award winning multi-disciplinary TYA team includes medics, TYA specialist nurses, a youth support co-ordinator, and a Young Lives Versus Cancer social worker amongst others, who are all committed to providing developmentally-appropriate care. They are all based at the PTC and have a wealth of knowledge and experience to share. If you are an experienced registered nurse and  you think you could make a positive contribution to this team, then we would love to hear from you.

Beyond this, the Trust has an ongoing commitment to promoting wellbeing amongst staff.  Therefore we have a dedicated Wellbeing Lead for the division, weekly psychology ‘checking in’ sessions.
