Job overview
The post holder will be an integral part of the Fundraising Team providing comprehensive administrative and financial support to internal and external fundraisers.
Accepting, recording and receipting donations made to the charity is a fundamental part of the role. The post holder will also be responsible for uploading financial reports from numerous sources to the fundraising database as well as downloading income reports to assist the fundraising team with recording event income, generating event income reports and dealing with enquiries from fundraisers online, by telephone and in person.
Main duties of the job
Inputting donations and donor information onto the Fundraising Database received from various sources such as in person, over the phone, direct to the bank and online, and generating acknowledgments.
Downloading financial reports from various online fundraising platforms, such as JustGiving, and uploading them into the Fundraising database.
The maintenance of the Participants Fundraising Database and ensuring fundraisers are allocated a member of fundraising staff,
Raising requisitions in Oracle Finance Ledger, fulfilling online merchandise orders, stock control.
Counting, management, storage, and banking of cash and cheques.
The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; English and/or Welsh speakers are equally welcome to apply.

Essential criteria
- Qualifications to demonstrate a sound educational background which include evidence of numeracy and literacy skills. Sound knowledge of administrative systems and office working procedures
Desirable criteria
- Knowledge of charitable sector work
Experience
Essential criteria
- Previous extensive administrative and financial processing experience in a busy service user focused environment is essential for this role. Experience of office working procedures
- Excellent Information Technology (IT) skills which should include the updating and maintenance of databases. Previous experience of working in a “people focused” background.
Desirable criteria
- Knowledge of online donation platforms such as JustGiving.
Apptitude and Ability
Essential criteria
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written Good telephone manner
- Excellent Information Technology (IT) skills, to include high degree of proficiency in Microsoft Office products
Desirable criteria
- Interest in pursuing a career in charitable sector/ NHS
