Primary Care Administrator
Band 4
Digital Health and Care Wales is an ambitious organisation created by Welsh Government to lead on the digital transformation of health and care. It builds on the digital architecture and national services put in place by the NHS Wales Informatics Service over the past decade.
The organisation will lead on large-scale developments that make a significant difference to the people of Wales as well as to health and care professionals, such as expansion of the digital patient record and the creation of a National Data Resource. Job overview
We are looking to appoint an enthusiastic and motivated individual to join our expanding team to support the delivery of digital technologies within Primary Care across Wales.
Working autonomously, as part of the Primary Care Services Operational Team, the post holder will provide expert administrative support to the team.
Main duties of the job
The role of the Primary Care Administrator is key to the effective running of the Primary Care Services Team and the successful delivery of digital products and services to Primary Care Stakeholders in Wales.
The post holder will provide a comprehensive and confidential administrative business support service to the Primary Care Team:

liaising with internal and external Stakeholders

producing agenda’s, papers, informal and formal meeting notes

managing and prioritising incoming and outgoing correspondence

providing statistical information when required

Responsible for:

Providing high level administrative support as required to the Primary Care Team. This will normally include the scheduling of meetings and facilities along with preparation and distribution of agendas and papers, and distribution of notes.

Taking and transcribing informal and formal minutes and points of note on request.

Providing diary management support with the ability to resolve conflicting diary appointments and schedules.

Creating, managing, and maintaining information systems to accurately record and report Primary Care activity; ensuring that information is appropriately and securely stored, filed and retrievable in line with organisational policy.

Responsible for managing Stakeholder enquiries via generic mailboxes

Qualifications and Knowledge
Essential criteria
- Educated to A-level, diploma, or equivalent experience
- Knowledge and understanding of NHS Working environment
Desirable criteria
- Knowledge of NHS Wales organisations & ITIL strategy
