We are looking for an enthusiastic, committed, experienced, friendly candidate to join our reception team to support us in ensuring effective functioning of the Head Quarters and helping to maintain a high-quality experience for the visitors enabling us to capture the activity and added value that reception offers to all its users.
As a receptionist the post holder will be responsible for running a busy reception dealing with staff, visitors and contractors, the switchboard and deliveries from suppliers.
Main duties of the job
The post holder will deliver a secretarial/administration service for NWSSP Headquarters working closely with team members to ensure that there is robust business support within the Team, including other staff groups as necessary.
You will provide support in all areas of secretarial, administrative and organisational processes. Additionally, the post holder will provide a remote cross cover agreement with secretaries in other Regions throughout Wales providing cover when required.
This is a key supporting role, and the successful applicant will require good communication, planning and organisational skills. In addition, experience of working in an office environment along with computer literacy in Microsoft Office including, Outlook, Word and Excel is required.
The Welsh language requirements for this post are essential.
The candidate must be able to follow policies and procedures and understand the importance of data protection act and confidentiality.
This is a permanent full time position (37.5 hours/week), with office cover required Monday to Friday 08:00 – 16:00.

- Demonstrable experience an administrative role and Understanding of office procedures.
- Experience of communicating with all levels of professional staff and the public
- Experience of dealing with confidential, sensitive data, appropriate maintenance and storage of records
Desirable criteria
- Administering finance systems e.g. entering requisitions, monitoring and receipting.
Qualifications
Essential criteria
- Educated to GCSE or equivalent, or equivalent relevant administrative experience.
- Commitment to Professional Development
Desirable criteria
- Experience of working in the NHS.
- Previous receptionist experience.
