THIS POST IS FIXED TERM FOR UPTO 36 MONTHS DUE TO MEET THE NEEDS OF THE SERVICE - 31st March 2028
Advanced Therapies are novel cell and gene therapies which are expected to transform current care pathways.
The Midland Wales Advanced Therapy Treatment Centre (MWATTC) is part of a network of Advanced Therapy Treatment Centres (ATTC) across the UK with the objective of driving NHS readiness and research activity in the cell and gene therapy sector. The MWATTC (Phase 2) programme will be hosted by VUNHST, alongside University Hospitals Birmingham.
The organisation had previously hosted the MWATTC (Phase 1) programme between the years 2018 to 2022. MWATTC will align with the Advanced Therapies Wales (ATW) programme.
The post holder will play a vital role in supporting the implementation and ongoing management of the MWATTC (Phase 2). The successful candidate will be required to analyse and interpret key facts in order to support the Head of Advanced Therapies in making key strategic decisions.
The role is advertised as a fixed term contract with programme funding available until 31st March 2028.
· This is a Fixed term /Secondment for 36 months to cover -31st March 2028.
Main duties of the job
To provide project management and leadership to clinical and operational projects in order to support the senior management team to make strategic decisions.

Detailed job description and main responsibilities
- Leads by example, acting as an accountable role model and project management expert for the service.
- Enables operational staff to have a thorough understanding of project management, by providing advice, through training, and dissemination of best practice.
- Supports the business and workforce planning process, ensuring that he decision making process is evidenced based and meets organisational programme objectives.
- Responsible for self-managing and prioritising own workload.
- The post holder will be required to have good IT skills and be proficient in Microsoft Office.
- Hold a Master’s degree or equivalent professional/managerial qualification.
- PRINCE 2 registered Practitioner or other recognised qualification in project management.
