This post offers an ideal opportunity for a dietitian looking to develop their clinical skills, or an existing experienced dietitian that would like to specialise in an acute dietetic role. The post-holder will fully embed themselves as part of a wider MDT, supporting embedding nutrition/hydration as part of models of care and driving forward innovation. You will use your specialist knowledge and clinical judgement to manage a varied, often complex caseload, contributing to multidisciplinary decision-making and ensuring seamless, evidence-based nutrition care throughout the patient journey. You’ll also take ownership of your workload while supporting junior colleagues to deliver an efficient service.
Working closely with multidisciplinary teams, you will play a key role in improving patient outcomes and ensuring compassionate, inclusive care. You will use your strong communication skills to handle sensitive and complex discussions, adapting your approach to meet individual patient needs and overcoming barriers to understanding. You will also support the development of others through supervision, teaching, and everyday leadership.
Alongside clinical duties, you will contribute to service improvement, audit, and education, helping to shape the future of dietetic care.
