Job overview
We are looking for an enthusiastic Ward Clerk to join our team to provide administrative support for the Acute Medical Assessment Unit (AMAU).
The post holder will help in the smooth operation of the administrative aspects of the ward by relieving professional staff of clerical and administrative duties in which the post holder will play an integral part.
Main duties of the job
The Acute Medical Assessment Unit (AMAU) is made up of 24 beds and includes 3 resus beds where we are able to directly admit emergency patients from the ambulances.
We are looking for someone who is hardworking, motivated and with good attention to detail to help support the ward staff with a wide range of administrative tasks.
Duties will involve updating hospital computer systems, handling medical records and answering the telephones. Full training will be provided.
The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; English and/or Welsh speakers are equally welcome to apply.

Hywel Dda University Health Board plans and provides NHS healthcare services for people living in Carmarthenshire, Ceredigion, Pembrokeshire, and bordering counties.
We have over 13,000 staff and together we provide primary, community, in-hospital, mental health and learning disabilities services.
