The Band 6 Paediatric Specialist Nurse’s role requires a passionate, highly motivated and experienced Nurse with excellent communication skills, who considers themselves first and always the child’s advocate, someone who wishes to continue to develop their clinical and leadership skills, delivering high quality care to our children and young people and their families. We are excited at the prospect of supporting motivated individuals to help lead, develop and influence our growing services.

This position is a development opportunity, with the potential to progress to a Band 7 role.
Main duties of the job
You will demonstrate safe critical decision making skills whilst working collaboratively with the multidisciplinary team to meet the needs of the child/young person and their family.
We work in collaboration with Alder Hey Cystic Fibrosis and Asthma Services.
We work closely with our CYP Transition Nurse and the adult respiratory team to provide effective transitional care for our young people.

Detailed job description and main responsibilities
We provide care for children with respiratory conditions within Warrington, Halton and some of the surrounding areas. We are based within Warrington Hospital. We also undertake a weekly nurse led clinic at Bath Street in Warrington and at the Halton Health Hub in Runcorn. As we work within the community providing home and school visits it is essential that the applicant holds a full driver’s license and has access to a car.
