Job overview
This is a post based within the Cardiology Admissions and Day Unit (CADU) with duties within the Cardiac Investigations Unit.
The post holder will be responsible for the care of patients in the assessing, development, implementation and evaluation of care.

Main duties of the job
The main responsibility will be related to clinical and nursing care within the CADU providing care to a highly specialised area of Elective Cardiology with an emphasis on personal development.
The post holder will be an active member of the multidisciplinary team by demonstrating excellent communication skills and a range of essential nursing skills to meet the needs of the CADU patient in a safe caring environment that promotes dignity, privacy and respect.
In addition to baseline nursing skills, the post holder will be expected to become competent in basic 12-lead ECG interpretation and pre and post procedure care of Elective Cardiology patients, pre and post procedure care of patients attending for non-invasive testing

- Diploma or Degree in Adult Nursing.

- Experience working in Acute hospital setting.
- Experience of multi-disciplinary working
Desirable criteria
- Experience in Cardiology

You must have appropriate UK professional registration.
