An exciting opportunity has arisen to join our porters team within the Emergency Department at South Tees Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust.
The successful candidate will work as part of a team delivering a comprehensive and patient-focused service. No two days will be the same and you will enjoy the chance to work with a wide range of colleagues, patients and their families as you go about your duties.
Main duties of the job
- To be responsible for the transport of patients, and hospital equipment between the wards and departments.
- To assist in the provision of a high quality, courteous service to the patients, wards and departments of the Hospital.
- To maintain high standards of patient care.
- To liaise with nursing, medical and clerical staff within the department in order to provide a seamless service.
- To maintain good and effective working relationships with other departments and service providers throughout the Trust.

- Previous Portering experience.
