Job overview
An exciting opportunity has arisen within the Radiology departments at South Tees Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust based at the Friarage hospital site for a Band 6 Radiographer to work within the radiography team within the radiology department, which includes the provision of plain film, A&E and theatre services as well as specialist modalities, including CT and fluoroscopy/interventional radiology.
Main duties of the job
The Radiology service is dedicated in facilitating continuous professional development and role extension/advanced practice. There are more than 30 Advanced Practitioners within the service, with specialist experience in fluoroscopy/interventional radiology, ultrasound, CT, MRI and plain film radiographer reporting.
South Tees Hospitals is the largest hospital trust in the Tees Valley with two acute hospitals and services in a number of community hospitals. The Trust is a designated regional Major trauma centre with a 24-hour acute admissions unit and specialised services in cancer, neurosciences, vascular surgery, spinal injuries, cardiology and renal medicine.

- HCPC Registration
- Post graduate experience
Knowledge
Essential criteria
- Evidence of good general experience in radiography
- Evidence of active CPD
- Comply with National Radiation Guidelines (IRMER regulations)
Experience
Essential criteria
- Computer literacy
- Manual Handling skills – of patients and complex radiographic equipment.
- Physically fit to able to fully participate in night and weekend working.
- Calm under pressure
