A focus on recovery - Here at Derbyshire Healthcare, we are committed to working alongside the people who use our services, to help them lead meaningful and satisfying lives.
We believe in compassionate, patient-centred care. Each member of staff has a part to play in supporting the people who use our services. But don't just take our word for it, visit our website to watch our "We are Derbyshire Healthcare" video to see what our staff, service receivers, carers and members have to say about the Trust.  Also, to find out more about our Trust and Derbyshire as a great place to work and live please visit our recruitment site via www.derbyshirehealthcarejobs.co.uk

DHCFT is committed to ensuring that all of its staff can work safely during the current coronavirus crisis.  To assist with this, the Trust is reviewing job roles in relation to Covid-19 national guidance, in terms of home working, flexibility and safe practise, to ensure positive working environments for staff and the best quality services for patients.   Please note that this post may be subject to adjustments in line with the Covid-19 national guidance.

Equality, diversity and inclusion is at the heart of Derbyshire Healthcare and we are actively seeking to increase diversity in our workforce through our recruitment activities. We encourage applications from our BME communities, our LGBT+ communities, and from individuals who identify as being disabled, as well as all other protected characteristics. We are especially keen to increase our diversity where we know that some communities are under-represented in parts of our workforce. Selection will be on a basis of merit and we are committed to the principles of Positive Action.

Derbyshire Healthcare Foundation Trust has an exciting opportunity for a Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist to lead a dedicated team within our pathway model.

This is a full-time post but we would consider flexible working. Our CAMHS was recently rated “outstanding” in the CQC’s 2016 quality inspection (published in September 2016). We are proud that our service is an established part of the National Children and Young People’s improving access to Psychological therapies (IAPT) Project. The Transformation has involved developing the workforce through training in evidence-based practice and providing evidence-based pathways supported by outcome monitoring across CAMHS and Children and Young People Services. The service moved to a pathway model that enables children and young people to receive the right service, at the right time and place, in line with evidence-based practice. Our service places high importance on providing high quality care and values clinical engagement in service development. We are able to offer you excellent training and career progression opportunities and are keen to support the development of special interests, including study leave support of £1,000 per annum towards your continuing professional development.

We are committed to equal opportunities, improving the working lives of all our staff and will consider applications to work flexibly, including part-time hours. Our service particularly prides itself in providing excellent Consultant peer support, hence our long-standing record of retention of our CAMHS Consultant team. The role will be based at Temple House with occasional clinics in another locality in South Derbyshire. The post involves working closely within a multi-disciplinary team. We are offering a relocation package of up to £8,000 available to eligible candidates.

Derbyshire is a wonderful place to live, situated within the Peak District National Park with stunning countryside, amazing history and, of course, fabulous people. It is an area of great natural beauty with rugged, peat-covered moorlands and magnificent limestone dales, with picturesque towns and villages, historic churches and some grand houses. It is the location of Britain’s first National Park - the Peak District National Park, which is the world’s second most visited National Park.

Whether you enjoy your shopping or leisurely sightseeing trips, Derbyshire’s lively towns offer a delightful array of attractions. Derby itself is a lively and cosmopolitan University City in the heart of Derbyshire offering the best of both worlds – multicultural city life on the doorstep of a stunning rural environment. Why not grow your career in a Trust that cares and puts people first; we are able to offer an excellent well supported training package, supervision and an appraisal to support career progression opportunities. This will include exceptional peer support and allocation of a responsible officer for revalidation purposes.
