Job overview
An exciting opportunity has arisen for Band 5 Paediatric Nurses to work on Sunflower Ward at the Royal Derby Hospital.
We are seeking enthusiastic and motivated registered children's nurses to work within our Paediatric Ward.
The ward cares for both medical and surgical daycase patients from 0-18 from a variety of specialities including ENT, General Surgery, Orthopaedics, Max Fax and Ophthalmology.
The post will involve working Monday to Friday both short and long days.
Discussion surrounding working hours will be had at interview.

Main duties of the job
Our paediatric department provides surgical and medical daycase paediatric services for 0-18 years.
The department has a committed philosophy of Family Centred Care where parents/carers are actively encouraged to be involved in their baby/child’s care with support and education from the nursing staff.
Applicants must hold RSCN or RN child branch qualification & should hold RSCN qualification and have paediatric experience.
We will support you through a wide range of in-house study days and training, we work very closely with our clinical educators to enhance learning.
