This post will attract a Recruitment & Retention Premia (RRP) totalling £5,000, payable upon appointment, (covering 36 months of service) in addition to a relocation allowance (subject to eligibility). The RRP payment is for external candidates only and is pro rata for part time employees.

• Responsible for the provision of a high-quality patient focused clinical pharmacy service for patients within Women and Children’s Care Group.
• Work closely with the Lead Pharmacists for Women and Children’s providing specialist pharmacy input.
• Undertake teaching and clinical supervision of pharmacy staff and other healthcare employees.
• Provide specialist clinical pharmacy services and advice to the clinical specialities including Neonatal Intensive Care (NICU), Paediatric Oncology, Paediatric Outpatients, demonstrating a high level of clinical effectiveness.
• Work closely with the Lead pharmacists & associate chief pharmacist for clinical services on the strategic development of clinical pharmacy services and establish clearly defined roles for pharmacist non-medical prescribers within the Care Group.
• Develop and manage the delivery of pharmacy services to ensure efficient use of resources and systems including monitoring drug expenditure, delivery of financial savings within women and children service lines.
• Work with the clinical and governance teams to develop guidelines, protocols and PGDs within Women and Children’s services.
• Undertake audits and engage with Quality Improvement and practice research projects.
