Job overview

We are looking for a Senior Administrator to join the Theatres, Anaesthetics and Critical care care group team at Castle Hill Hospital.


The Senior Administrator will  be responsible for the end to end clinical administrative processes associated to the patient pathways for pre-assessment and anaesthetics,  ensuring a smooth and efficient service for both the multidisciplinary team and patients, in order to deliver a high quality administration service, for our patients and customers .


Please note that this advertised vacancy does not meet the UKVI eligibility requirements for a Skilled Worker Visa and therefore HUTH would not be able to issue a Certificate of Sponsorship for this role.

Main duties of the job

Our Senior Administrator will play a vital role in the delivery of patient care via the management of the patients end-to-end pathway and supporting the wider team.  The role is varied and challenging and your day to day duties may include;

  • Clinic letter transcription 
  • Handling queries from the pre assessment /Anaesthetic team 
  • Liaising with clinical staff and wider teams
  • Managing Patient pathways 
  • Call handling
  • Helping track our patients through their journey to ensure a great patient experience

Although previous administration experience would be helpful, we are first and foremost looking for individuals with a passion to work in a health care setting and those with a 'can do' attitude. Candidates should possess the following skills;

  • Good standard of general education to GCSE level or equivalent, including Maths and English Language
