Job overview
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Band 6 within the existing urology specialist nurse team. This is a well established, experienced team who will be available to offer support throughout.
As a Urology Clinical Nurse Specialist (CNS), the post holder is responsible for providing appropriate specialist advice, support and education to patients within the Urology department . This post will be aligned to those patients that are diagnosed and treated for kidney cancer, although aligned to Urology there will be multi-disciplinary team working required also.
Please note that this advertised vacancy does not meet the UKVI eligibility requirements for a Skilled Worker Visa and therefore HUTH would not be able to issue a Certificate of Sponsorship for this role.
Main duties of the job
You will work autonomously alongside the Band 7 Clinical Nurse Specialists to deliver high quality care to those with a Urological conditions ; their families / significant others and will provide guidance, supervision and training to peers and junior members of staff both internal and external to the Trust, promoting seamless service within a multi-professional framework.
As an integral member of the CNS team, the post holder will be able to influence patient care through development of specialist skills, knowledge and experience. They will be actively involved in monitoring and developing the service across the trust to ensure that patients receive sustainable high quality care that is safe and effective through the audit process and patient feedback initiatives.
The post holder will be expected to support the CNS teams in a variety of locations across Castle Hill Hospital, providing peer support and advice as the service demands dictate.
