Job overview

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a qualified sonographer to join the forward thinking ultrasound team of the Hull University Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust. Developments within the local community have given us the opportunity to expand the ultrasound service, particularly with the advent of our service expansion into GP practices in the region.

This new post will add to the dynamics of the team. The successful applicant s will be able to discuss their preferred   areas.

Main duties of the job

You will be working with the team of friendly, dedicated and hardworking sonographers within the ultrasound department.

You will work in all sites where ultrasound services are provided by Hull University Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust . The sonographers in Hull have always been at the leading edge of service developments such as our infertility work and independent reporting skills. Our community ultrasound services have expanded and we are proud to have developed a diagnostic and clinical management advice service within the primary sector.

The ultrasound department is committed to training and has close links with the Hull & York Medical School and the School of Healthcare at Leeds University as well as BMUS and the specialist interest groups in the SCOR. Role extension, CPD, KSF and flexible working are actively supported.

The core hours of the department are 8.00am through to 18.00pm with some expectation to cover weekends and bank holidays.
