This is an opportunity for an Occupational Therapist wishing to further develop their career within the community mental health setting. within an established team. If required, consideration will be given to a therapist within a current band 5 role as a transitional Band 5 to Band 6 development opportunity should level of experience require some specific  goals prior to reaching the skills required for a band 6 role.

Within this role the Occupational Therapist will work within the wider MDT predominantly delivering assessment and treatment intervention within the Brentwood locality mental health team. The post holder will be part of the Occupational Therapy service that delivers services across South West Essex, therefore receiving professional supervision, support and guidance from within the Occupational Therapy service.

Our EPUT NHS staff bank is an entity managed by the trust that hires clinical and non-clinical healthcare professionals to take on shifts at our trust hospitals and community settings. Here at EPUT we maintain our own bank of specialist staff to ensure that we are able offer safe and effective care at all times.

All our permanent staff are automatically enrolled onto the staff bank however this does not mean you have to work any additional shifts, but the option is there for you if you wish.

If you are joining our Trust in a fixed term role, please indicate on your New Starter Paperwork that you wish to join our staff bank.

The successful applicant will be the Occupational Therapy representative within the Brentwood locality mental health team, identifying service users that have occupational needs, assessment and delivery of individual and group treatment intervention. There is the opportunity to develop both clinical and leadership training.

Within the role the post holder will provide supervision for unregistered staff and facilitate student education placements.
