Principle Cardiac Physiologist/Scientist- Echocardiology

Job overview

The role of the Principle Cardiac Physiologist  specialising in Echocardiography will have the  responsibility for all clinical and  operational management primarily of the Echo Physiology team and cardiographers within the Cardiac Investigation team; including demand and capacity management, budget planning, staff management and departmental development within the Cardiology service.  You will be responsible for the safe delivery of cardiology investigations  performed throughout the trust. The department is undergoing rapid growth and transformation in the next few years and is ready to further develop. Workforce planning initiatives have identified staff training and development needs which dovetail into the Cardiology 5 year plan.

The Cardiology department consists of inpatient, outpatient and community services and provides 24/7 primary PCI with a Cath Lab on the Basingstoke site.

An R&R bonus (subject to annual review) is available for the successful candidates.

Cardiac Physiology is an ambitious and enthusiastic team supported by an equally ambitious and enthusiastic team of Cardiology Consultants. Together we strive to deliver high quality care to all our patients. As Physiologists, we support and provide a wide range of investigations, including; all aspects of ambulatory monitoring, transthoracic, 3D TOE, Stress, DSE, 24/7 PPCI, Cath lab, IVUS, FFR, brady and complex CRM service. The department are currently experiencing some exciting changes, with the build of two new cath labs, and the development of an EP service.
