Job overview

We are recruiting for a Straight to Test Triage Colorectal Nurse who shares our vision to be trusted to provide consistently outstanding care and exemplary service to our patients. 

Are you looking to join a dedicated, proactive team? A vacancy has arisen in the Colorectal nursing team for a straight to test triage nurse. The role involves telephone assessment of patients on the cancer pathway. Good communication skills are essential, the ability to make clear clinical decisions and work closely in a small team. Main duties of the job

On a day to day basis you will be reviewing cancer referrals which come in on the Colorectal pathway.

Following protocols to triage patients.

A concise, clear, competent assessment of the patient. This can be an anxious time for patients so compassion and understanding are required.

You will need to be competent in IT skills and databases. Alongside this you maybe required to present data at monthly meeting.
