Job overview

We have an opportunity for a Band 3 Administrator to join our friendly and supportive Staff Seasonal Vaccination team.

You will be responsible for the data entry function and administrative support for staff seasonal vaccination campaign.

This is a fixed term full time post, 37.5 hours per week, from  1 October 2025 to 27th February  2026.

The role is based at Watford General Hospital, with requirement of working across sites to support the roving flu nurses. 

Main duties of the job

You will be responsible for ensuring the collection and entry of data and will be proficient in the use of a variety of software systems, with an eye for detail.

Data entry, collecting consent forms and maintenance of records will be a large part of the daily job role, using different data management systems and inputting data to timescales.

You will need:

  • High attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure.
  • Proactive and professional approach to work.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks, excellent time management and excellent organisational skills and able to prioritise workload.

Detailed job description and main responsibilities

  • Obtain records and accurately input into the data management systems.
  • Review and analyse data to identify any trends.
  • Record keeping and filing of all paperwork.
  • Organise and review the staff vaccination email inbox.
  • Organise and maintain regular communication with the flu peer vaccinators .
  • Administrational support to the operational function of the Staff Seasonal Vaccination campaign.
  • With flexibility to work occasional later evenings and weekends to support the needs of the campaign.
  • Based predominantly at Watford General Hospital with the ability to work across all Trust sites to support the roving flu nurses.
