Chief Pharmacy Technician - Pharmacy IT Systems

Band 5/6

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a hard-working, highly motivated Senior Technician to join the friendly and progressive pharmacy team at MTW.

This post would be suitable for an individual who is looking to develop their IT and system management skills. Your role will involve the provision of operational service support for a wide array of pharmacy systems, including the Pharmacy Stock Control System, the Prescription Tracking System and the two departmental dispensing robots. You will lead on the development and renewal of SOPs in relation to the use and management of the systems, providing daily checks to ensure systems are operating as expected. You will also be responsible for access management to create, amend and remove user profiles and to reset passwords etc. You will be expected to maintain drug files on the pharmacy stock control system ensuring compliance with all regulation and reporting requirements and system standards on the server, through the uploading of the MDDF database.

You will also have the opportunity to work within a friendly, motivated team of pharmacists, technicians, pharmacy assistants, MMPTs, pre-reg pharmacists and trainee technicians. You will engage stakeholders from suppliers and liaise with Trust IT to ensure the resolution of incidents and requests. You will also work closely with the Pharmacy Senior Management team to compile and create Crystal Reports and validate data where required
