An opportunity has arisen for a substantive Consultant Orthodontist post 0.8WTE at Tameside and Glossop Integrated Care NHS Foundation Trust. We are expanding our orthodontic service to meet the high demand for secondary care orthodontic services in Tameside and Glossop. The hospital is situated to the east of Manchester and the Greater Manchester area is a lovely place to live and work. We are looking for a highly motivated team player who excels at multidisciplinary care and who also enjoys teaching postgraduate trainees. You would join a longstanding team including two other Consultant Orthodontists and two postgraduate trainees. Main duties of the job
Tameside and Glossop Integrated Care NHS Foundation Trust are seeking applications for a Consultant in Orthodontics to join the Team. The successful applicant should have the ability and commitment to promote best practice in patient management in conjunction with delivering local and national targets. Your experience and enthusiasm will be supported by a skilled team of clinical staff along with a full complement of dedicated and trained dental nurses.

Qualifications and Training
Essential criteria
- Entry on GDC Specialist Register for Orthodontics
- Success in Intercollegiate Specialty Examination or equivalent or within 6 months of completion of post CCST training.
Desirable criteria
- Masters degree or equivalent in orthodontics
Teaching
Essential criteria
- Ability to teach clinical skills
- Ability to provide small group teaching
Desirable criteria
- Experience of teaching basic clinical skills
- Ability to supervise postgraduate research
- Willingness to participate in training for STR
Management Experience
Essential criteria
- Ability to advise on efficient & smooth running of the orthodontic service.
- Ability to organise and manage outpatient priorities.
- Ability & willingness to work within the Trust and NHS performance frameworks.
Desirable criteria
- Experience of audit management.

You must have appropriate UK professional registration.
