A rare opportunity to join the Trust’s Patient Safety & Risk Team as an Incidents, Risk and Systems Coordinator has arisen.  If you are passionate about improving incident reporting and risk management functions within an NHS environment, we would love to hear from you!

 

The team handles all functions associated with incident and risk management.  In addition to this, the Team has overarching responsibility for the Trust's Local Risk Management System (LRMS), Ulysses Safeguard.  

The Incidents, Risk and Systems Coordinator is a band 5 role which will support the organisation to effectively manage these key governance functions.

Main duties of the job

The role is incredibly varied and will see you working under the guidance of the Trust’s Governance, Risk and Patient Safety Lead in addition to the Risk Manager.   Each day will be different but will involve:

  • The delivery of training to staff of all grades.
  • The administration of Executive led meetings relating to patient safety and risk management.
  • Taking a lead on service improvement projects.
  • Acting as a subject matter expert in relation to LFPSE, PSIRF, Risk Management etc.
  • Supporting the Trust’s use of Ulysses Safeguard.
  • Supporting the Trust's compliance function by responding to regulator (CQC) and commissioner (ICB) queries.

Person specification

Administration Background

Essential criteria
  • Previous employment within an admin role.
  • Previous experience of minute taking / meeting organisation.
Desirable criteria
  • Formal qualification in Business Admin.

Ulysses Safeguard

Essential criteria
  • Experience administrating a Local Risk Management System or other complex NHS system.
Desirable criteria
  • Experience administrating Ulysses Safeguard.
  • Evidence of super user training relating to Ulysses Safeguard

Patient Safety & Risk Management

Essential criteria
  • Can demonstrate an understanding of Patient Safety and Risk Management.
Desirable criteria
  • Shows an understanding of relevant policy, regulation and systems (i.e. PSIRF, LFPSE, Duty of Candour etc.)
  • Can demonstrate an understanding of wider governance functions (i.e. Complaints, PALS, Inquests, Claims, Audit etc.)

Training

Desirable criteria
  • Can demonstrate the development/delivery of training packages.
