Job overview

The post holder will provide a comprehensive Helpdesk and Administration support service to the Maintenance Department.

The post holder is an integral part of the Maintenance Admin Team and would be expected to work independently, regularly assessing work priorities and provide cover where necessary.

The post holder will be expected to regularly communicate and liaise with Wards, Departments, and External Contractors.

Main duties of the job

The post holder will be expected to maintain and update the existing CAFM database for all helpdesk jobs including sites information incorporating changes to the hierarchy. Oversee processing of incoming maintenance requests ensuring that jobs are actioned and authorised by the appropriate person. Maintain records for all reactive and PPM work tasks completed by the maintenance team and contractors and to act as the central hub between the helpdesk function and the maintenance team in order to provide an efficient and timely response to any reported issues.

The post holder is expected to work flexibly within their pay band and will be expected to carry out activities for which they are competent.

Alternatively they may carry out the additional duties if they are receiving support or training in order to obtain the recognised level of competence.

Person specification

Experience

Essential criteria
  • Previous relevant work experience, including use of computer in the working environment.
Desirable criteria
  • Previous experience of a CAFM system.
  • Previous experience of using spreadsheets.

Qualifications

Essential criteria
  • GCSE in English and Mathematics or equivalent level of skill.
Desirable criteria
  • Experience in Microsoft office suite, inc Word,Excel, Access.
