Assistant Fundraiser and Admin Support
Band 3
Job overview
Rosemere Cancer Foundation currently has an exciting opportunity for you to join our team as an Assistant Fundraiser & Admin Support, based at the Rosemere Cancer Centre at the Royal Preston Hospital. This is a full-time role that combines office-based work with time spent in the community, attending fundraising events and supporting our valued donors and volunteers. In return, you'll receive a competitive salary and become part of a passionate, high-achieving team.
Our charity raises around £1.5 million annually through a varied and dynamic portfolio of activities. We’re looking for someone enthusiastic, hardworking, and flexible—ready to meet the challenge and play a key role in one of the region’s most successful charities.
If you want to make a real difference to the lives of local cancer patients and are keen to begin or develop a career in the charity sector—whether or not you have previous fundraising experience—we’d love to hear from you.
Main duties of the job
As Assistant Fundraiser & Admin Support, you will play a vital role in helping the Rosemere charity team deliver its fundraising strategy and maintain high standards of donor care. You’ll be involved in implementing long-term plans to grow income and increase support across all fundraising streams, ensuring that all donors and supporters receive excellent stewardship.
You’ll provide essential administrative support to the whole team, including logging donations, managing thank-you processes, maintaining databases, and supporting finance tasks. Your role will also involve assisting with the organisation and delivery of events, helping to grow our fundraising programmes, and developing lasting relationships with our supporters.
You’ll need to be flexible, enthusiastic, and confident when working with the public, as you’ll sometimes represent Rosemere at community events. This is a fantastic opportunity to gain valuable experience in a supportive and fast-paced charity environment, where your contribution will truly make a difference.
A car and driving license are essential for this post as the post holder will be required to drop of fundraising resources, meet with donors and fundraisers, support Rosemere fundraising events and attend third party fundraising activities and functions across Lancashire and South Cumbria
