Job overview

Respond to service users in the vaccination service:

  • The System Covid Vaccination Delivery Team provide a centralised service to administer high volumes of vaccinations across Lincolnshire during a booster campaign.

We would like to add to our bank of Booking-In Administrators to join during these seasonal campaigns.

You will act as our “Front of House” welcoming and processing patients through the booking in process in a confidential, friendly, and effective manner.  The booking process involved a basic patient assessment with you following a script of questions on a computerised point of care system.

You will provide administrative duties in a timely and efficient manner on site in the North, at the Weigh Rooms on Carholme Road in Lincoln,  and South of the County (tbc) and at mobile outreach in community hubs, venues and pop-ups enabling us to deliver the covid vaccine more locally to our rural population.  Therefore, you will be expected to travel to parts of the county not supported by public transport.

Main duties of the job

  • You will have a good standard of general education including Maths and English GCSE/O’Level grade C or above, a Vocational Level 2 in Business and Administration qualification or equivalent experience and excellent IT skills – Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook.).

If you can respond to problems and identify solutions along with being able to make sound judgements when prioritising tasks, we’d love to hear from you.

Good organisational skills with the ability able to manage busy workload, prioritise work and have a good attention to detail are essential.

As an adaptable bank member of the Team you will be able to select shifts as you wish to flex around your home life, responsibilities and commitments.

Working for our organisation

Lincolnshire vaccination service has, for the last 2 years, been recognised as one of the delivery leaders in Covid-19 vaccination delivery through its mass vaccination centres, PCNs, hospital hubs and community pharmacies.  As the service now moves away from delivery through mass centres, the service and staffing models have been redesigned to a more specific service need, aligned to JCVI guidance.    The vaccination service remains a very busy service during times of booster delivery.  We are a small team made up of staff members of differing backgrounds and skills.  Our vaccination clinics are provided within the vaccination centre bases, through outreach/roving models across venues in Lincolnshire and we support the PCNs with delivery in care-homes and to housebound patients.
