We are excited to offer an opportunity for a passionate and experienced midwife to step into the role of Lead Midwife for Labour Ward. This is a fantastic chance to develop leadership skills, contribute to service improvement, and make a meaningful impact on maternity care.

As Lead Midwife, you will work closely with the Intrapartum Matron and multidisciplinary teams to ensure safe, high-quality care across the Labour Ward, Maternity Triage, and Obstetric Theatre.

The borough has one of the youngest populations in London and continues to grow. Croydon Health Services cares for local people at Croydon University Hospital, Purley Memorial Hospital and in clinics and people’s homes all across the borough.

Croydon University Hospital (CUH) maternity delivers 3300 babies every year from women of a wide and diverse background. CUH has been rated as ‘Good’ by the CQC and we are looking for strong, clinically credible leaders to help us in our journey to a CQC rating of ‘Outstanding’.

Main duties of the job

1. To work in accordance with the Trust’s Values to consistently demonstrate the behaviours required.

and procedures. 
4. To ensure confidentiality at all times, only releasing confidential information obtained during the course 
of employment to those acting in an official capacity in accordance with the provisions of the Data 
Protection Act and its amendments.

The Trust was formed on 1st August 2010 through the integration of Croydon Community Health Services and Mayday Healthcare NHS Trust.
