Job overview
We are delighted to offer the opportunity for Adult Band 6 Senior nurse to come and join our Emergency department. We need an experienced, highly motivated individuals who can work with our team of clinicians to deliver high quality patient care, whilst being able to support junior staff.
We are looking for someone who is motivated, enthusiastic and possesses excellent interpersonal and communication skills along with the ability to work and lead effectively within a multidisciplinary team in an innovative Emergency Department.
Main duties of the job
We are looking for an experienced professional who is looking for a genuine opportunity to demonstrate their managerial skills. You must have the ability to ‘think on your feet’ to meet the challenges of this exciting and dynamic role.
The post holder will be supported by the two ED Matrons and a Head of Nursing all of whom are responsible for leading the ED Teams.
Our Emergency Department sees over 100,000 patients a year and over 100 LAS attendances per day, and have an integrated Paediatric Emergency Department, which also supports young people and adolescents, with support from ST Giles, Safeguarding, CAMHS and Young People for Brent and Harrow, and an Urgent Care Centre on site. We are the tertiary referral centre for Vascular, Stroke, ENT & Max fax
In the department we are supported by various different multidisciplinary teams, such as STARRs and Frality team, to enhance patient experience and care
