An opportunity has arisen for a dynamic team player to join the Cancer Services team of MDT Co-ordinators based at St Marks – London North West Healthcare NHS Trust.

 

 

Main duties of the job

The MDT co-ordinator post is pivotal in ensuring timely patient progression through their pathway both before and after a cancer diagnosis has been made and experience of working in a busy acute hospital environment is a pre requisite.

Education/Qualifications

Essential criteria
  • Educated to A-level/NVQ level 3  5 GCSEs, graded at C or above
Desirable criteria
  • Medical terminology course

Knowledge & Experience

Essential criteria
  • Previous NHS experience  Significant Experience as a MDT co-ordinator or data analyst/manager  Extensive experience of Microsoft Office applications and database software • Excellent understanding of the Cancer Waiting Times guidance.
Desirable criteria
  • Experience of collecting cancer waiting times data & understanding of the Cancer Waiting Times guidance.
  • Extensive experience of Microsoft Office applications and hospital database software
  • Significant Experience as a MDT co-ordinator or data analyst/manager

Skills/Abilities/aptitudes

Essential criteria
  • High standard of written communication skills in supporting information
Desirable criteria
  • Experience of using video-conferencing
