Job overview
We are recruiting an Administrative Assistant who shares our vision and can be guided by our Trusts core values, Honesty, Equality, Accountability, Respect and Teamwork.
The post holder will be responsible for ensuring the effective day to day administration and co-ordination of clerical procedures concerning outpatients and appointment management in line with National Policy and locally agreed guidelines. Specifically, the post holder will ensure that trust targets (RTT) are adhered to and all systems are kept up to date.
Applicants will need to demonstrate excellent organisational and communication skills, as well as word processing and IT skills. The successful applicant will be expected to effectively prioritise work and meet challenging deadlines.
Main duties of the job
The Dermatology Service at Northwick Park Hospital are looking for a full-time Administrative Assistant to work Monday to Friday.
This is a varied and interesting role with great learning opportunities. You will be responsible for the flow of patients through the department and will also be working very closely with the Dermatology Lead Clinicians, CNS Team and support services. i.e. radiology, pathology, out-patients, using email, telephone, face to face and in writing as required. An excellent starting point for anyone interested in joining the NHS learning the basics and advancing within the trust, pathway co-ordinator skills carry over to a lot of more advanced roles if your goal is to progress.
You must possess excellent communication skills, working with deadlines and accurate keyboard skills are essential qualities that we are looking for.

- *Educated to A-level/NVQ level 3, *5 GCSEs, graded at C or above, or equivalent
