Financial and Capital Accountant

An exciting opportunity has arisen for the role of a Financial and Capital Accountant within the LNWUH Financial Services Department.
Candidates should be CCAB qualified, self-motivated, demonstrate strong communication skills and be able to work on their own initiative.
The post holder will also provide advice and expertise on capital accounting including planning, ordering, accounting and all necessary approval processes, working closely with colleagues within operational finance, estates and facilities and operations to produce capital plans that will enable the continuous improvement and development of Trust services and estates.
The post holder will work closely with the Head of Financial and Capital Accounting, deputising when required. They will also work closely with the Assistant Financial and Capital Accountant and Accounts Assistant ensuring that the team works closely together to meet all deadlines.
Applicants should have an advanced understanding of Microsoft Office functions, financial and reporting systems.
The role is based in Northwick Park but post holder may be expected to travel across sites in the Trust as part of their role.

The post holder will provide an efficient, high quality and customer focused financial accounting service to the Trust, leading on day-to-day cash management to ensure the Trust’s commitments can be met, managing all bank accounts and investments.
They will also be responsible for ensuring VAT is accounted for correctly, and will provide advice and guidance to a range of managers and stakeholders relating to VAT rules and regulations.
The post holder will also provide advice and expertise on capital accounting including planning, ordering, accounting and all necessary approval processes, working closely with colleagues within operational finance, estates and facilities and operations to produce capital plans that will enable the continuous improvement and development of Trust services and estates.
