We are looking for an experienced and motivated occupational therapist to join our Adult Therapies Service as a senior member of the Neurology Inpatient OT and PT team. As an autonomous practitioner, you will manage your own caseload of patients with complex neurological disabilities across acute and rehabilitation settings, including stroke and acute neurology. You will provide advanced assessment and intervention to promote recovery, independence, and quality of life, while ensuring accurate and comprehensive patient records.
Working as part of a high-performing multidisciplinary team, you will support safe discharge planning, share specialist advice, and provide clinical leadership. You will take a key role in coordinating the Neurology Inpatient OT and PT Service, including triaging and allocating referrals. Leadership and development of others is central. You will provide line management, supervision, and appraisal for staff across Bands 7–4 and students, supporting professional growth and embedding a culture of excellence. Additionally, you will deliver teaching and training. A commitment to service development is essential. You will contribute to clinical audit and research. You will also be supported to pursue your own CPD. Finally, you will participate in our weekend working roster, ensuring equitable access to therapy for patients across the week.
