This is a fantastic opportunity to work as a Pharmacy Assistant. This is a stepping stone leading towards a rewarding pharmacy career.
We are looking for an enthusiastic Pharmacy Assistant to work in our busy Pharmacy department . The role is working in stores and distribution department. The post holder will also be required to work in dispensary while working towards Level -2 Pharmacy service apprenticeship.
Prior pharmacy experience is desirable but not essential as all training will be provided on the job.
This rewarding role will provide you an opportunity to interact with patients, nurses and doctors as well as external healthcare professionals to ensure that the best standard of pharmaceutical care is available to patients in our hospital.
Main duties of the job
You will need to be self-motivated with good communication and interpersonal skills. You will have a friendly and approachable personality, be willing to work as part of a team and committed to providing the best possible service for patients.
The department actively promotes development, education and training.
You will need to hold GCSE certificates in English & Maths and Good IT Skills.
To apply for the post you will need to be willing to work towards and complete the Level 2 Pharmacy Service apprenticeship .

Education and qualifications
Essential criteria
- • Good standard of education, GCSE or equivalent. Grade A-C or 9-5 in both mathematics and English
Desirable criteria
- NVQ (QCF) level 2 in Pharmacy Services or an equivalent Pharmacy Assistant certificate
