Job overview
An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the RTT & Elective Care team at London North West Healthcare NHS Trust based at Northwick Park Hospital, playing an important role in the recovery and continued improvement of the Trust's 18 week performance.
The ideal candidate will have good knowledge of 18 week RTT pathways and targets, be an excellent communicator, have experience of reporting information and have excellent computer skills. The role will involve tracking and coordinating patient 18 week pathways, collating information, coordinating diagnostics and appointments to achieve national waiting time targets.
Main duties of the job
We are seeking 2 full-time RTT Validators (37.5 hours/week) to join our team. These posts will work as part of our Central Validation Team to support elective performance and data quality improvement. The post is key in supporting clinical services to provide timely access for patients to healthcare within the Trust.

Education & Qualifications
Essential criteria
- GCSEs including English and Maths or equivalent
Desirable criteria
- Educated to Degree level or equivalent
Experience & Knowledge
Essential criteria
- Previous experience of working with RTT rules in an NHS setting
- Experience in using a range of clinical systems
- Good understanding of the importance of high-quality data
- Prior experience dealing with patient queries over the telephone
Desirable criteria
- Experience using Cerner EPR
- Experience in RTT validation
Skills, Abilities & Attributes
Essential criteria
- Proficient user of IT packages, including MS Office
- Able to work under pressure to tight deadlines
- Ability to identify and correct highly complex data errors
- Excellent communication skills
